Enter the clubHeritage
In 1924, stonemasons, bricklayers and carpenters from the Friuli Venezia-Giulia region of northern Italy, brought to Chestnut Hill to quarry, cut and set the Wissahickon schist of the Houston and Woodward homes, founded a club of their own at 8030 Germantown Avenue. They called it Venetian because their villages lay near Venice.
A century on, the Venetian Social Club is a 501(c)7 non-profit, inducted into the Chestnut Hill Conservancy Hall of Fame in 2019, and still run for its members, their families and their friends.
